    I started reading Anger 101 on a cross-country flight and finished it on my return flight. Wow! Lori’s stories of her life kept me spell-bound, although I will acknowledge some of those stories were a little hard to read. That’s because Lori is a dear friend, and to witness the truth of some of the things she experienced in her life – well, let’s just say it was extra hard for me to take.

    Lori shares how she began life with anger being directed at her, and now sees anger as a very helpful emotion she has learned to use to transform her life. Lori shares how she learned to use the awareness of anger arising within her first as a warning flag, next as a signpost along her journey, and later as a powerful inner compass to help guide her to follow her heart to her inner truth.

  6. This is an insightful and enlightening read. No matter if you have similar history as Lori shares about herself or not, she hits on main themes that are common experiences for many women. We forget ourselves. Her mix of telling her story on how she found her voice and her truth and the action items at the ends of the chapters guiding you through grounding and finding your own truth this book holds so many wonderfully clear and simple explanations about trauma, self-esteem, and self-worth that leave you with an ability to place your own story in and leave with understanding your own patterns of being better. I highly recommend this book.

  7. I put off reading this book at first because I thought “I’m not angry – I’m not a bitch” – Ha! Well, this book is filled with so much wisdom for all women and how they feel about themselves. I particularly like her approach to “allowing me to be me – just as I am” . I’ve heard her talk about how there should be no figuring things out because each of us can have an easy, honorable, grace-filled experience. I, too, believe when we, as humans, are trying to hard to make something work, it’s a sign, we need to accept the thing, the moment, the person, exactly as it is and not “have to” do anything! She includes some great exercises and techniques to get to a space of acceptance. I enjoyed the read and recommend this book highly!

  8. How counterintuitive is this title and this book? Growing up in a “never get angry” family, Lori’s thesis blasted doors of permission wide open. Yes, there are constructive ways to channel the anger we feel. This book tells us how — and promotes overall emotional health in the process. Excellent thesis well written for all to understand (even guys)!

Her interpretation and explanation of this derogatory word is heartfelt and precise. Her simple genuine descriptions of how to be honorable and truthful to yourself smooths out the rocky path before any person specifically a woman.   11. To tell the truth I read this book at the right time, age, place, and state. As a reader, I always start with the back page as it summarizes all the contents and also it gives a hint on the general picture. But somehow for Anger 101, I started off straight away with the first page.

    I am happy and wish to thank you for the time you took to write that book. It is so wonderful for it really touched my heart where no other book I have read ever touched before. This book has been a wake up doze on my side because I have always taken the last position in all scenarios.
